Graham graduated in modern languages from the University of Wales and entered the film industry in 1970, as press officer at the newly formed MGM - EMI Distributors Ltd. In 1974, he joined CIC (forerunner of UIP), first as international picture editor and then as press officer in the UK office. After six years, ending as deputy director of publicity and advertising, he moved briefly to EMI Film and Theatre Corporation before joining DDA in June, 1980.
He has been responsible for the UK press campaigns for a wide range of films, including THE RAILWAY CHILDREN , JAWS, THE GODFATHER , PART II, CHINATOWN, SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER , GREASE, LIFE OF BRIAN, RAGING BULL, RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK, PLATOON, THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS, THE MADNESS OF KING GEORGE, THE USUAL SUSPECTS, SECRETS & LIES and GLADIATOR (not to mention - please! - BLACULA, WON TON TON THE DOG THAT SAVED HOLLYWOOD, MUTINY ON THE BUSES or THE FIRST NUDIE MUSICAL, amongst many others).
He has served as unit publicist on a number of films, including BACKBEAT, JACK AND SARAH, WILDE, STORMBREAKER, THE BANK JOB, ME AND ORSON WELLES and THE IMAGINARIUM OF DOCTOR PARNASSUS. A veteran of the Cannes Film Festival, he has run DDA's press office there since 2000 and supervised international media coverage of the European Film Awards from 1997 to 2004.
