Dana Archer is the Senior Vice President of DDA Public Relations, Los Angeles. In her capacity, Archer oversees all business and staff in the Los Angeles office and specializes in the corporate entertainment practice.
Archer sits on the 6 person DDA executive board and provides corporate clients such as Imagenation Abu Dhabi, Reliance ADA Group, the Dubai International Film Festival, Mpower Pictures, LLeju Productions, the Cayman Islands Film Commission (among others) heightened and targeted coverage in the U.S, in addition to international coverage in conjunction with DDA London. DDA's corporate publicity practice aims to help entertainment brands shape, build and achieve their long-term business goals. Archer works closely with London-based Account Director Aimee Anderson, essentially providing round-the-clock service to DDA's corporate clientele.
Archer is expanding DDA's reach in Los Angeles and formerly managed the corporate entertainment practice at Weber Shandwick, servicing accounts such as: Paramount Home Entertainment, Warner Brothers, Exodus Film Group, and Overture Films. Previous campaigns include the animated feature film, 'Igor' starring John Cusack as well as representation for Warner Brothers and JK Rowling in a copyright infringement case against RDR Books. Before joining Weber Shandwick, Archer spent four-years at SWPR Group where she helped strategize, develop and execute multimedia publicity campaigns for corporate, film, and television clients. Her roster included the 2007 Oscar-wining short 'West Bank Story,' 'Vince Vaughn's Wild West Comedy Show: 30 Days & 30 Nights, Hollywood to the Heartland,' the reopening of the Griffith Observatory, and Cure Autism Now (WALK NOW). In addition, television clients included Sony Pictures Television 'Rules of Engagement' and 'The King of Queens,' PBS's 'Pioneers of Television,' DIRECTV, and the Fine Living Network.
Prior to SWPR Group, Archer worked at B/W/R Public Relations where she developed and implemented publicity campaigns for such television shows as 'Malcolm in the Middle,' 'The Bernie Mac Show,' 'Dark Angel,' 'Providence' -- plus fitness guru and personality Richard Simmons and The Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino.
After graduating with a BA in Political Science and English, Archer embarked to Southwestern University School of Law and soon after began her career in Los Angeles with veteran publicist Warren Cowan at Warren Cowan & Associates.
