National Publicity
From its inception in 1970, DDA has specialised in UK distribution publicity, with assigned teams working closely with the local offices of the major film studios, as well as with smaller, independent distributors. DDA's UK activities involve all aspects of national publicity, including premieres, press junkets, film festivals and awards campaigns.
DDA's team of national publicists boasts a wealth of experience, skills and knowledge and works on a broad spectrum of film titles, from smaller independent and specialised films such as A PRAIRIE HOME COMPANION, EASTERN PROMISES, DEFIANCE, and IN THE LOOP, through to mainstream box-office hits such as THE DEPARTED, SEX AND THE CITY, ST. TRINIAN'S, 17 AGAIN and FAME.
Working closely with the distributor, the national team devises a tailored strategy for each title. Utilising our extensive contacts database and strong relationships with the UK media including broadcast, print and online, DDA ensures that the film receives maximum exposure in the lead-up to the theatrical release.
DDA specialises in all aspects of UK release campaigns, including the media management of premieres. Amongst the notable events handled recently by the team are the World Premieres of AVATAR, NINE, ST TRINIANS 2: THE LEGEND OF FRITTONS GOLD, DISNEY'S A CHRISTMAS CAROL and HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE,the Royal Film Perfomance and World Premiere of THE LOVELY BONES and the two biggest-ever James Bond premieres - the Royal Film Performances of CASINO ROYALE and QUANTUM OF SOLACE - and THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA; PRINCE CASPIAN, THE DARK KNIGHT, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3, THE WRESTLER, MARLEY & ME, WATCHMEN, LAST CHANCE HARVEY, HANNAH MONTANA, JONAS BROTHERS: 3D CONCERT EXPERIENCE, FAST & FURIOUS, THE HANGOVER and PUBLIC ENEMIES.
Regional Publicity
The regional publicity department works in tandem with the national publicity team on all titles, providing specialized knowledge of all regional media, to ensure broad coverage across the regions of the UK.
The team also has great experience of regional press tours, UK film festivals, student press and regional premieres and can complement a national campaign with the widest possible range of regional publicity activity, as required.
