DDA 35th Anniversary Charity Concert & Dinner
2005 was DDA’s 35th year in business and to celebrate
we held a rather fantastic celebration: a party with a difference.
In the long history of DDA, it may surprise you that rock music has played its part, particularly in our association with the Who on their movies “Tommy”, “Quadrophenia”, and “The Kids are Alright”. We were therefore delighted that Kenney Jones, drummer with The Who, the Small Faces and the Faces agreed to perform with his new band, the Jones Gang. The Jones Gang were, at the time of the party, in the top ten US Singles charts with their single “Angel”. Kenney also invited a number of special guests from his past!.
As well as celebrating with our friends, we also wanted to raise money for charity so all profits were divided between The Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund and The Small Faces All Children’s Charity.
